Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

Fossil Creek to Mason to Boardwalk to Power Trail, back home. 8 miles, averaged 6:45/mile. Actually felt good this morning, perhaps the mini-workout yesterday sloughed some rust off.

Ran a new route today, out the south end of our neighborhood and into the north end of Loveland. Found Loveland's trail system, and ran on that for a little while. It was really nice, will have to explore out there some more. The nice thing about living on the south end is that I can double-dip running routes for both Fort Collins and Loveland. 9 miles, averaged 6:53/mile. Did some strides during the second half of the run.

Quasi long run today. Tried out a new route, part of the 21-mile segment of the Poudre River Trail between Windsor and Greeley. (obviously I didn't do the whole thing). The Windsor trail head is only about 10 minutes from my house, which is probably closer than the trailhead to the Fort Collins segment. Anyway, it was a nice run. I did an out-and-back, 7.5 miles each way, so 15 miles total. Kept the pace pretty brisk and consistent the whole way, and ended up averaging 6:15/mile for the run.
