Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

Spent all day in Salt Lake, which involved meeting up with Dave Nelson, who was here fot the UW-UofU game, and then going to spectate the OctoberFast race, followed by brunch at Ruth's Diner, followed by an afternoon at the zoo with the kids. Did not run until I got home, and only had limited time before dinner, so just did 7 miles on the canal trail, no watch. It felt good, although 7 miles always feels good.

Back in Utah. Slogged through 9 miles, an out-and-back to the north side of Smithfield. Today is my wife's birthday, so we had Thai for lunch...the red curry was delicious but no good for running afterward.

Anyone want to buy a treadmill? I am selling a barely-used NordicTrack Commercial 1750 treadmill. Originally bought it for $1500 last December, used it about a dozen times during the winter, and it's been sitting ever since. Still has parts/labor warranty left. Works perfect. I'm trying to sell it for $750, but will give a little bit better deal if a fastrunningblogger buys it. Send me a blog message or email if interested.
