Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

I'm a little bit under the weather today, so am laying low. Don't feel terrible, but I want to give myself a chance to race on Saturday so am being conservative. I guess running into a headwind  with driving snow for 8 miles last night was not good for my immune system.

If Saturday is anything like the past 2 years, you'll again be running into a headwind with driving snow.

Yeah, if it's snowing I'm just not going to bother. I'd rather eat my entry fee than endure last year again.

this doesn't sound bad at all...

South southwest wind between 13 and 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.

Yeah, we'll see. I would not feel bad at all for sleeping in. At this point in my life, I'm a fair-weather runner.

Good luck this weekend. That race scared me away after the conditions in 2008. I'd eat 10 entry fees before doing that again.

Clyde- the sad part is 2009 was worse than 2008. Windier. I'm not doing it again- just back luck.
