This afternoon when I got home from the peer court conference, I did a light speed workout with Levi. AND MY GARMIN CAME IN THE MAIL because I broke my other one...... Anywase, I ran down to Sugarhouse Park with my spikes, did a lap in the park with Levi then I did 8 strides on the grass because my knee was hurting again. So after that, since my knee was hurting I didn't have to do the full five minutes. I was pacing Levi in a run to see how far on the track he could get in five minutes. I was supposed to do the last five minutes with him. So I started about 100 meters into his 3rd lap around the track and we immediately sped up. Then with 300 meters left until Levi got to the mile he had about 45 seconds until he wasn't going to be under five anymore so I was told to just go for it and run hard and gap Levi. Then we came through the mile in 4:57 so we got farther than a mile! Then we took 2 laps recovery on the grass and soaked our heads. Then we did a timed 400. I did it in 69 seconds still with spikes on. Then took another lap on the grass and called it a day. |
