Disappointed to wake up to 5 inches of fresh snow.  Luckily up by hogle zoo there was only an inch or two of snow on the roads.

I met up with my good friend Tom and we ran about a 3 mile warmup.  On part of the warmup we were on the first half mile of the course.  It seemed slick and slushy and not a great day to race.

The gun went off and the race was on.  The first mile was probably the worst for snow & slush. The second mile I was able to find mostly just wet roads but the last mile had some more slushy parts.  Making the corner onto the track I had to slow down to a walk.

It's always fun to run on an aided course with over 300 feet of vertical drop and see that you're doing sub 6 miles.  It also helps to know Tom is behind me and that I want to put as much distance on him so I can show him who's boss.

Miles  5:52,  5:43,  5:36,  .33  Total time 17:44

Came in 1st in age division and 2nd in the masters division.

you passed me coming up on mile 2. You looked good. Great splits. Should have gone with you. It was over before I knew it... :)
