Ran the Cookie Chaser 5K that ended up being exactly 3 miles according to Garmin.

The had a guy with a cookie shirt on.  If you beat him you got a runners hat.  They don't want to give away to many hats so they get a pretty fast guy to be the cookie.

The race started out pretty fast as usual but after about a half mile things had settled down and I was in 5th place. The Cookie was tied for 2nd.  At just over the mile mark I moved into 4th.  About 1.75 miles into the race I moved into third with the cookie in 2nd only about 15 yards in front of me.  With about .75 miles to go I passed the cookie.  I pushed much harder than I like to but I wanted to beat the cookie and get that dumb hat.  The cookie ended up about 10 seconds behind me.

Mile splits (6:11, 6:17, 5:54)

I got a plaque, a $50 gift certificate to the Wild Rose resaurant, the hat, and a box of girl scout cookies!

Way to beat the cookie! I hope you and Taunia can go out and enjoy the Wild Rose and girl scout cookies with your hat on and carrying your plague!

Nice job Terry! You beat the cookie even with the snow. Maybe the warmer temps are finally here.
