| Easy. Cold. I asked Wetmore what my mileage should be over the winter and he said 75-80/week. He said that being as "youthful" as I am, there is no need to increase mileage too quickly. Over cross, my la.rgest mileage week was 73ish and I was wiped. I never felt like that mileage was too little (in fact I thought it was a bit much at times). I think there is too much emphasis placed on numbers (such as mileage). Some runners can rip it up on 85 a week, while others need 130 (McD does 130/week in singles (even 115 the week of nationals)). That being said, I plan on pushing myself hard. Whatever mileage that takes me to is where I will stay. | Comments(3) |
