Part I Today was my first workout since coming back. It was nothing too difficult, consisting of 6 x (1min on, 1min off, 30secs on, 30secs off), but it was enough to get some leg turnover. I haven't done anything this fast in three months, so it felt kind of foreign to my body. In all, though, I couldn't be happier with the effort. My leg did not hurt at all, and I felt like I was actually moving!!! Part II I am now beginning the "run to get fit" process. This past month prepared my body to run again, while using other means to provide aerobic exercise (aquajogging, elliptical etc...). A transition is taking place; I will begin to utilize running as my primary means of aerobic work. A good analogy is the "learning to read" process. Only after learning to read can one read to learn. That being said, I am excited to really get at it again - but this time I will work in a more cerebral manner. |
