An hour of swimming. I went and got an MRI today, and it turns out I have a stress fracture in my tibia, and a partially torn soleus. The stress fracture does not really hurt, but the soleus injury really feels bad. This will take a long time to heal, so I will swim for a while and hope for the best. I don't quite know what to say, but I have definitely realized that I am a fragile runner. I need to really pay attention to small details (strength building etc...) to stay healthy, and I will learn from the training mistakes I have made. Well, I will probably start from scratch when I come back, but I will keep a positive attitude! This could be a while. |
