Personal:

Started running in November 2007 to get fit. Now I'm back almost to square one after back surgery. I did it once and I'll do it again.

"In truth, runners don't race other runners. They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares. And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. Even years into running, he can get better."  Running for His Life by Michael Hall.

1230PM: Greenbelt from AM Park to Willow Lane. 5 min w/u; 30 min tempo (effort not pace :( ); easy 5 min; 5 min tempo; c/d. Just didn't have it today. Ran it at slightly above HM pace. Maybe its because I didn't get a lot of sleep last night after getting home late from the offensive crapfest that took place at Bronco Stadium last night. BSU won but I think the rules is that anytime your 300+ nose tackle provides ALL of your offense it should count as a loss. Lotta smoke too. It's literally overcast from all the smoke from all the forest fires.

4 x 25 pushups.

I know all about those tempo "efforts!" I guess the "effort" is the important part, at least that's what they tell me.

I think I said that to you once or twice so it must be total BS. ;)

Yeah I was just going through the motions by mentioning it to you. The REAL important part is to set a PR every workout.

Heh. I don't feel like I've worked out unless I get my HR to 110% of max. ;)
