Another "speed workout" with the XC team. It was their recovery run after a hard workout yesterday. I managed to stay about 30 seconds behind them. Are they speeding up as they get to the end of the run? Oh yea. Three mile tempo run with the team tomorrow.

Welcome to the blog. I was just thinking the other day how much I conserved as a high schooler than kicked it in at the end of races. I've been thinking that probably wasn't the best strategy. How cute that kids still do that. LOL!

I SO want to do the Marine Corps Marathon, one of these days!!! Great job keeping up with all of the kids---you must be tough!

Welcome to the blog!

Thanks for the welcome. I am a total newbie to blogging and technologically illiterate. So this is quite a miracle that I have figured it out, with a little help.

The Marine Corps Marathon was awesome and I would highly recommend it. It was rainy the day before and after, but the day of the marathon was perfect! Our son was in the Marines and I told him when he came home safe and healthy we were going to run in his honor and that of his fellow Marines. One of our daughters and our son ran the 10K. It is a great way to see D.C. We ran as charity runners and that was really rewarding. We raised about $3000.00 for the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund.

That is awesome!!! Running for a cause is a good thing and I can not think of a better fund to run for. My husband is a marine at heart, so this race is on our list for one day when we can travel more (our kids are still little).

Way to go on figuring out the blog! It is pretty simple which is a good thing for most of us!
