Temp was a balmy 30, that is above 0. Tomorrow the bottom starts to drop out. Supposed to be barely above 0 on Saturday and well below 0 at night. So Bayly and I had to get out today! I was planning on just an easy 5, enjoy the day. But no. The wind was blowing about 15-20 when I started. By the time I finished it was around 30 and gusty. Snow was blowing across the road and I was running into it for the last 1/2 of the run. So much for nice and easy. For a 11/2 miles I was running with the wind blowing straight out of the west right into my left ear. Even though I had a headband over it, by the time I turned it was really starting to ache. My mother-in-law used to get ear aches from the cold. Oh no, I am turning into my mother-in-law! No worries, she was a great lady, God rest her soul, and she raised an amazing son. :) Taking tomorrow off. It's toffee making time! |
