Personal:

Married with 2 lively boys. I love running and I love getting faster. Just trying to figure out how to balance life between being a mother, wife, part time nurse, and runner. :)

When I was in 6th grade I filled out a Getting to Know You sheet. Under nicknames I wrote, "My brothers call me Boo Legs, I think its because I run fast." (It really came from the movie, Strange Brew) And its been my family nickname ever since.

I'm really wishing I had run St. George last weekend! So jealous of all of you hobbling around. (no seriously, I really am!) I guess it could be worse, I could be like my friend who trained her butt off and is super fast (hoping for a possible sub 3). She forgot to set her alarm and woke up about 7 minutes before she was supposed to start. :( Saddest day ever for her.

5.5 miles, average pace 8:11. Followed by squats, lunges, push ups. Definitely a heavy monday and I'm glad its over.

Oh, so sad for your friend! Bummer. I was really wishing I could've run St. George too...it was one of those perfect days. What are your racing plans? I forgot, or maybe never knew?

Oh my goodness that is always my worst nightmare! That is seriously so so sad. I was so very glad to not be running STG but so happy for everyone that did!

Yes please spill the beans on your plans girl. :)

Andrea and Rachelle, the only race I'm doing right now is a half in 2 weeks. After Utah Valley, the thought of running and training for another marathon made me want to throw up and that feeling didn't go away for a LOOOOONG time. So I took a break. I'll probably stick to maintenance over the winter, maybe some smaller distances.... How's that for long winded? :)

Yes, I too was thinking when are you racing. You've answered that and I think your plans are solid. I think you'll benefit from the hiatus and spending time getting in some decent training.
