Personal:

Married with 2 lively boys. I love running and I love getting faster. Just trying to figure out how to balance life between being a mother, wife, part time nurse, and runner. :)

When I was in 6th grade I filled out a Getting to Know You sheet. Under nicknames I wrote, "My brothers call me Boo Legs, I think its because I run fast." (It really came from the movie, Strange Brew) And its been my family nickname ever since.

Average pace- 8:36. I ran outside today. Not groundbreaking info here, but the miles fly by so much faster running outside. It felt a little harder than usual today but I'm grateful I got to run mostly pain free with my shin/calf. It took a little while to get in the groove but once I got there, it felt good. I'm planning on doing some ab work and lunges later today.

Awesome Natalie! Running outside is so incredibly freeing after being stuck on the treadmill. I am really happy for you. :)

Are you entertaining the idea of a fall marathon? Or did you just run 13 miles for pure fun....

Rachelle, I want to want to run a fall marathon but it just isn't there. My mojo has been shot ever since the UV marathon. So, I haven't committed yet. Basically, I missed running a long run. That's why todays run was longer.

Did you sign up for TOU?

Long run today! Great job. Mostly pain-free is a good step forward!

Holy midweek madness. "Missing the long run". It sounds like a wistful book title. The way to regain your mojo is to call a race director (in Huntsville) and get a comped entry to the marathon because you are an ELITE FEMALE RUNNER. Failing that, getting a charge on your credit card for an entry fee is a good secondary option.

Wowzer, nice 13 midweek run!!

Kam, you're nuts. There's no way that little ol me is considered an "Elite". (and I'm not just being modest) Someday I'll get there.
