Running Accomplishments:

I've been running for the past 25 years.  I ran my first marathon at age 50 and have run 3 since then.  I run 5K's, 10K's and half-marathons.   I ran the Ogden Marathon in 2006 and finished in 4:35.  I won Thrid Place in my age group.

Three of my daughters and I ran the Ogden Half Marathon.  They did great and I was glad to just finish.  I ran the Riverton 1/2 marathon the end of March and pulled my hamstring and then got bursitis so I wasn't able to train as much as I wanted to.

I have slowed down a lot the past 10 years so my goal now is to keep running slow and steady until I die.  I also ride bikes and am as fast as my daughters.

We have now switched from Marathons to 1/2 marathons and Triathlons.  Last year Leslie and I did the Desert Sharks Triathlon and Daybreak.  I won first in my age group in both because there are not many people in my age group.

2010  Riverton Half Marathon 3rd in age group

Daybreak Triahtlon 2010 1st in age group

South Jordan Half Marathon 2010 1st in my age group

Riverton 10K 2010 1st in my age group

Vikingman Triathlon September 10 2010  Won 1st in my age because I was the only one in my age group

March 2011 Riverton 1/2 Marathon 1st in my age group and there were actually 6 people in my age group.

Short-Term Running Goals:

My daughters and I are starting to train for Triathlons, but would still like to run 2 half-marathons and 5K's and 10K's

Long-Term Running Goals:

Personal:

I met the group at the SJ Soccer field for the early miles.  Only Kris was there.  Duke and I started off early and head south on 2200 to do the SJ 5K course.  Half way through we met Kris coming the other way.  We met again at the end of the course and met up with the others coming for the regular miles.  There were about 8 others for the regular miles.  We ran up Canterwood to 2700 and then turned around and ran half way back and turned around again the went up to 2700 and then north to Bowles Lane and up to the end.  Then everyone else ran along the Canal and I headed back to go to work.  I rode my bike to work and then back home again.

I rode my bike for work and then back home again.  After lunch and a short nap I drove up to Peoa to pick up Becca and take her to Bountiful for her physical therapy.  Then we came home and after dinner I did my arm weight exercises.

Met the group at the church up the street from my house. Duke and I were the only ones there for the early miles so we ran through the subdivision and out to 3200 and then north to 106th.  Then we turned around and headed back.  As we were heading back, Kelli came running towards me.  She was glad she found us.  This is the first time this year she has come to our group.  She ran back with me and then out of a side street Peggy caught up with us and ran back to the church.  We still had 5 minutes so we ran up 114th to the next street and back.  For the regular miles we had about 10 more people come.  We did a 1 mile loop around the subdivision and then back to the church.  Then we did a long run on 90 seconds and off 60.  I turned around when we were almost to 106th because I needed to get to work.  I rode my bike to work and back.  I am now done working at the school for the summer.

Duke and I met the group at Greg's house for the early 5:30 run.  There were only 4 girls today and about 7 guys.  I started off early because I am so slow.  We ran from Greg's house to the parkway trail and headed north to the end of the trail past 98th.  Duke and I were ahead for a few minutes until Duke had to keep stopping at every bush.  The trail was 2.5 miles and I wanted to get in 6 so when I got to the end at 98th I ran south for 6 minutes and then turned around and ran back to the end again.  I'm glad we went early because it was already getting hot.  Then I came home and help my husband clean out irrigation ditches.  After lunch and a short nap we took Becca back home to Peoa.  She will stay there until our Family Outing on Friday.  All 8 of our kids and their families will be with us for our outing in Ephraim.
