I ran my first marathon at age 50 and have run 3 since then. I run 5K's, 10K's and half-marathons. I ran the Ogden Marathon in 2006 and finished in 4:35. I won Thrid Place in my age group.
Three of my daughters and I ran the Ogden Half Marathon. They did great and I was glad to just finish. I ran the Riverton 1/2 marathon the end of March and pulled my hamstring and then got bursitis so I wasn't able to train as much as I wanted to.
I have slowed down a lot the past 10 years so my goal now is to keep running slow and steady until I die. I also ride bikes and am as fast as my daughters.
We have now switched from Marathons to 1/2 marathons and Triathlons. Last year Leslie and I did the Desert Sharks Triathlon and Daybreak. I won first in my age group in both because there are not many people in my age group.

March 2011 Riverton 1/2 Marathon 1st in my age group and there were actually 6 people in my age group.
Short-Term Running Goals: My daughters and I are starting to train for Triathlons, but would still like to run 2 half-marathons and 5K's and 10K's

Long-Term Running Goals: Keep running, biking, swimming and stay fit until I'm 100 years old Personal: I'm married, have 8 kids (7 daughters and one son) and 28 grandkids. | | Duke and I went to the group run. We ran 2 miles. Running is getting very hard because of my leg that drags. I hope the Nuerologist can figure out the problem.

| | We were in a car accident Sunday so I was too sore to exercise. Our car was totaled and they had to use the Jaws of Life to get me out but I was not hurt just sore.

| | I ran two miles before work. It was very slow. Tomorrow I have to get an MRI to see what is causing my leg drag.

| | I ran .75 mile with Duke and then 1.25 by myself. Duke has had a sore leg but Tuesday when I ran without him he stood at the windo and howled until I got back. Today I decided to take him on a short run and then finish without him. He loved it.

| | I went to the RUNGR8 run and ran 3 miles. It really takes forever with my dragging leg and curled toes. I will get my MRI on Monday and maybe they weill be able to find out what is causing it.

| | I took Duke on the 2 mile run. Then I rode my bike to Chrissy's and then we went on a 11 mile bike ride and I rode back home. I had a nice time visiting with her. She is my 5th oldest daughter and has 5 kids. She and I are training for the Triathamom.

| | My daughter and I started our training for out Triathamom. we swam in her pool, then we biked and ran. I had to do Backstroke and side stroke because the front crawl hurts my chest and back. I was very tired by the time we did the run and had to walk part of the time.

| | I ran a half a mile with Duke and then I went to our group run at the SJ soccer fields. There were a lot of people there today. We ran back and forth from 2200 through the park and our to redwood. It was nice to visit with Eric and talk to the rest of the group before and after we started.

| | I ran a short run with Duke and then I met the group at the church by tithing hill. There were about 10 people there today. We ran along Lampton to the end and then turned around and headed back.
