9 miles in 7:23 pace

Started out slow and got faster as I warmed up.  7X50 stride pickups after a few miles.  It was a nice, cool misty morning.

We finally worked out the details for our trip to Utah this weekend.  We leave on Wednesday for camping and boating at Echo Lake with Aaron's sister and her family Wed-Fri.  On Friday afternoon Aaron will go to the Uinta's with Jun for their King's Peak marathon.  I'll take the kids to my Mom's house in Layton where they will stay the night, then I'll head to Springville where I'll stay with my good friend Kristen.  Saturday morning I'll run a fast downhill 13 miles, chill at the race for a bit, then drive back to Layton to have lunch with my family, load up the kids and head to Wyoming to meet Aaron after his run and drive back home to Denver.  A whirlwind trip with a lot of fun packed in.  And then school starts Monday!  Where has the summer gone?

I hope you wait long enough at the finish line so I can see you. I am estimating that you will finish a good 25 minutes ahead of me! :)

Melody-I will be sure to keep an eye out for you!

Scott-Thanks!

Allie-Sweet! You and Lily doing your long run before the race? If you gals want to save 5 miles, I'd love run 5 more easy miles with you after the race. I think I'll do my long run on Saturday instead of Thursday this week so as to save my legs for the race.

TOU is such a nice 1/2 marathon!

Allie, I will be in SLC over Labor Day weekend (some friends of ours are getting married on the 4th). We will be staying near Sugarhouse Park. I can't actually run with you ... but maybe we could chill with some apples, melons or something ;-).

I am not jealous of this itinerary. I hope you have something left for the race. What am I saying, of course you will. Drive safely.
