7 miles in 7:38 pace

At least my body-ache is subsiding.  The phlegm is not quite leaving me yet though.  My voice sounds Patty and Selma on the Simpsons.  Frightening.

Today on my run I saw Scott Ensign's brother, David (although I don't think he noticed me...he must have been listening to a good song on his iPod).  I also saw two guys riding fixies, which is when this song started playing in my head.

I like the part with the girls pumping up tires.

Of course you would like that part, Burt. Too bad Oprah isn't one of them.

I honestly didn't even know there was a fixie stereotype until Aaron showed me this video about a year ago. Fixie riders are definitely a genre of their own though.

I don't know what a fixie rider is but the video was a good laugh! Glad you are feeling better.

Yeah, I didn't know either until I saw the video. Apparently the bike is "fixed gear" like those old school kids bikes with one gear and the derailer unable to glide freely from the pedals, so to slow down or stop you have to slow your pedaling. I'm just remembering all the pedal shaped shin scabs I picked off as a kid and I'm thinking, no thank you.

Man, I'd say you made a quick recovery! Anyone that can come back and run 7 miles at that pace really has a good immune system going. I'm glad you're on the mend.
