A.M. Met my group at East Boulder Community Park

The trails were flooded by the creek this morning so we had to run on the road and paved path by the golf course.

20 min. warm up, stretching, strides

2X(1min, 2min, 3min, 2min, 1min) intervals w/ 90 seconds jog in between each (my pace was 5:16-5:30 on the 1 and 2 minute intervals, 5:40 on the 3 minute intervals

then

1 min, 2min, 2min, 1min intervals w/90 seconds jog between each (my pace was 5:30, 5:40, 5:50..I'm starting to die here, then I dug deep and ran the final minute in 5:04 pace)

So basically it amounted to 24 minutes of 5:04-5:50 pace running.  Whew!  No wonder I was tired at the end.

P.M. Went to the gym to lift weights and ran another 4 easy miles too

nice workout. I wish I lived in Boulder and could run with you guys. I think it really helps to have a group for speedwork for the motivation to maintain the pace.

The group definitely helps me push the pace faster and longer. I'm getting excited for the party and race on July 2-3!

Wow, sounds intense! That is some serious speedwork.
