My quads are still thrashed from Saturday's mountain climb, so I cross trained on the elliptical for 30 minutes and lifted weights.  Gotta love that first hike/climb of the season when your quads get so sore that you cant even do stairs without putting 80% of your weight on the railing.  Reminds me of the first track workout of the season in college when my calves got so tight I could barely walk.  Speaking of track, I had a bunch of crazy dreams last night.  In one of them I was competing at some world class event in the 100 M dash but had forgotten how to start in starting blocks so everything felt really awkward.  As the gun went off it was as if I was in slow-motion and I had no fast-twitch muscles at all.  All the other black sprinters with huge strong hamstrings and gluts were 30 meters in front of me at the finish line.

I have had that dream!! I couldn't even move ... and I was trying to tell the starters that I was paralyzed and I couldn't talk either. Weird.

Hey you have to ask Aaron do you thrash about as if your actually running when dreaming of running, apparently I do LOL

glad someone else is sharing in the joy of hammered quads although I'm not using the railing I didn't really climb up 2000 feet either : D. It is always an interesting sight, the kind that makes my husband realize even more why he doesn't run!!

I would love to run in the mountains! Too bad we don't have any of those in Kansas. Sounds beautiful, although I wouldn't enjoy the thrashed quads.

That's a crazy dream. I just dream that I'm have classes at both BYU and the U of U on the same day and I don't have time to get from one to the other. Or it's the end of the semester and there's a class I'm registered for that I've never attended. I guess I didn't run enough in college to have running dreams.

I actually clean in my sleep and one time my husband woke up with me standing over him on bed. It kind of freaked him out. Maybe if I ran in my sleep it would make me faster in real life. LOL Hope your legs feel better soon. :)
