Hip felt a little better today than it did yesterday!  Yeah!  Did hip exercises after my run and stretched well.  One more visit to Richey for some ART tomorrow, and I'll keep slowly building up my running miles.

Happy to hear your hip is feeling better. Sounds like you got a good rehab going. GOOD LUCK with gradual mileage build up. Are you still planning on the Half at DC in March?

Thanks Smooth, no I'm not doing the Half in March anymore. I don't even know if I have enough time to prepare for Boston now. I'm not ruling Boston out completely yet but it would take some small miracles to get ready for a decent marathon in less than 10 weeks, I guess we'll see.

Hi Nan. Just realized you were injured...I've been in sleep mode. I need to put you under "my favorite blogs" list. Not fun for you. I understand about hip issues. Most of mine were the first few years after having a baby. The hormones, specifically, relaxin really causing the joints to be real lose. Melanieb is dealing with that right now too. I hope I can avoid those problems but I have to say it is still a common one that tries to show its face often. I do a lot of after run hip stretches- side raises and front raises. They help stretch the hamstring quite well. Runner's World has a short article on some stretches, odd I was doing on my own 4 of them already. I have been hip injury free--knock on wood--- since doing them. Any way I am sure you will be back in no time come Spring. The colder weather probably contributed to your hip problem by the muscles being not warm enough. Here's to Spring!! :D.
