I had some success in high school and college. Winner 1985 Rod Dixon Run
Had a fair amount of success as a Masters runner for most of my 40s.
Short-Term Running Goals:
Have fun with running, explore more trails, stay healthy.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Keep running and racing consistently for as long as I can. Find what is sustainable for me over the long run.
Personal:
I teach AP European History and other courses at Alta High School. I coached the track and cross country teams at Alta for 16 years.

AM: 1 mile walk before the World Cup final.
PM:6 mile walk around the Foothill Loop.
Walked a total of 7 miles with the longest one being 4.5 miles. Face still swolen and painful.
7 miles of walking. Longest one was 4.5.
8 miles of walking.
AM: 2.5 mile walk, snow shoveling.
Late AM: 4.5 miles on the treadmill. Light weight workout.
PM: 1 mile walk.
AM: Dropped neighbors off at the airport for their trip to Cancun and then did 6.25 freezing miles around Liberty Park on the way home. Then had oatmeal.
PM: Walked 6.3 miles.
AM: 6.75 miles on the treadmill and 1 mile on the rower.
