I went to the theater this afternoon and watched Till, the new movie about the lynching of Emmett Till. Talk about a gut punch! Most movies about the Civil Rights Movement deal with the stories of triumph that Hollywood likes whereas this movie is more about endurance. You get a feeling of what black people had to endure in this country decade after decade.
