Turning point of sorts in my life this morning. I had my post cross country season exit interview with the administration this morning and I resigned all my coaching duties here at Alta. After 22 seasons and considering the lack of success my teams have had the past couple years, I just felt it was time. I will really miss the good times though.

Shame, Rob, but maybe a season or two off will reignite the fires and get you back to a place you feel like jumping back into coaching... or maybe its time to scoop up the fam and return to the Sunshine State!

22 years! That is a lot of connections made and a lot of memories. Turning point, for sure.

You had indicated this was coming, now it is official. Take the time to focus on new things (family, etc.). You made great impacts on many young athletes over the years, hold your head up high. Just a transition. Wish I was closer to go grab a beer.

Job well done Rob, I am sure you will look back fondly on your time in coaching as will all of the athletes you encouraged and trained and supported over the years.

That's quite a run, Rob. I hope you enjoy your extra time. I've always been amazed at the number of students, including athletes, you are responsible for.

Cheers.

That's a long time as a positive influence in the lives of many people. I really admire you as a coach and a person. May you find other ways to bring value to your life.

Sad and congrats! You are a terrific guy and will be missed greatly in the coaching world.

I'm sure you impacted a lot of students over 22 years. Are you not doing track?
