What's a track meet like as a coach? A long, exhausting 12 to 14 hour bonus work day tacked on to the end of your work week. Exciting and rewarding if your kids run well. Frustrating if they don't.
I actually tweeted that NY Times article. If you want to judge school teachers by the test scores of their students, I became a phenomenally more effective teacher when I moved from Berea High School in Greenville, SC to Alta High School in Sandy, UT.
