Todays' run will have to remain classified. I entered 8.5 easy, but it really wasn't. In fact, it was so fast that people would accuse me of dishonesty. Some of my competition would be so intimidated that they might decide to not even show up for the Salt Lake Half this Saturday.

Nice trash-talking Rob! Good luck on Saturday!

That's right Bret, talkin' trash on the FRB.

I doubt Steve Anderson will be able to put down his twinkies long enough to hang with me for two miles.

Actually, its the season for peeps right now. Twinkies are so summer. I played on beach today for my workout and when I flew over all that rain in Utah I smiled...

There's a peep "season"? I actually thought peeps were pretty much limited to Easter morning.

I definitely underestimated your committment to junk food Steve! Maybe on Saturday you could wear one of those belts people usually load down with gells only you could stuff peeps in the thing.

And the gauntlet is thrown down!!

Way to get the sugar rush, Steve...use it to your advantage on Saturday!

Peeps have gone year-round, they have Halloween and Christmas versions too.

In all honesty though, on my best day and Steve's worst day, I'm about 2 minutes behind him in a half marathon. He has definitely left the "local elite" category in the dust.

Rob, that's not the way to trash talk at all. You have to hold strong to the intimidation all the way to the end. If you by some chance choke, you find a convenient injury to blame it on. You can carry this pattern on indefinitely if necessary.
