8 miles around Sugar House. Jump rope. 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups.

PM: Walked 3 miles.

Ann and the kids went skiing today while I stayed home. I went to see The Revenant by myself. I thought I would really like this movie and, while it was definitely compelling, I was generally disappointed.

Rocky Balboa would be proud. Nice workout.

Quite a workout!

That was a really slow movie. It took us 2 nights to get through the whole thing. I feel like it needed to be about 30 minutes shorter.

I'm going out on a limb and interpreting your workout as 8 miles of jumping rope around the park. In that case, bravo!

It is one of the few "best picture" nominees I had no desire to see after reading about it. Just something about the whole story seemed lacking and if the best you can say about the actors was the uncomfortable conditions they endured in the cold...

Anyway thank you both for confirming that I don't need to see it.

Honestly the most interesting part for me was that I recognized a lot of the places where they filmed it, because we were up there (Banff area) last summer. If it wasn't for that, I might not have finished it!

I generally love outdoor tales of human perseverance. This was over the top in many ways with little in the way of hope. I like a little more positivism in my stories.
