8.75 trail miles in 1:33. I'm questioning whether I will be able to adjust to trail running. 8.75 miles seems a small return on investment for over an hour and a half of hard running. I don't like doing 14 minute miles.

PM: 2 mile walk. push-ups/sit/ups and busted out the ab roller.

I'm not that much faster on the hilly roads here Rob. Having a hard time too adjusting to that kinda pace being a new normal. #aarppaceadjustment

If anyone can Rob it's you especially with all the weight training that you have done.

Loved the hashtag AARP by the way..

I'm ignoring the AAPR comment even though there are many days when I fantasize about retirement.

Convert all the miles to kilometers and then just count them as miles. That should give you a little buffer and make you feel better about it :-)

I'm hitting the treadmill right now to compensate.

Treadmill counts as zero!

From steve ash on Mon, Mar 28, 2016 at 15:24:54 from 67.2.61.218

Treadmill running I've come to find out is the equivalent of playing Pong in tennis..

Is the point to run as many miles as possible, or to achieve maximum fitness and enjoyment? I would posit that 1 hr running trails is more beneficial than 1 hr running roads, even if you don't get as far (more varied terrain, footstrike, and muscle use, reduced risk of overuse injury). And, at least for me, far more relaxing and enjoyable.

I think you're right about that Jon.
