Fifteen miles of cross training.

5 miles on the elliptical in 35 minutes.

10 miles on the Lifecycle in 27:45.

PM: Walked to gym. Swam one mile. 2/3 freestyle, 1/3 other strokes. Walked back. Sixteen miles of cross training. I should start counting it as "running" so I look better on the mileage board.

Foot hurt on the walk!

Been in a funk today reflecting on the fact that I wasted four months of training and a couple thousand dollars to run a 3:12 marathon and aggravate an injury to the point where I might not be able to run/race for a couple months. Great decision making all around.

Rob.. the day I got in my accident (hit by the truck) I wasn't going to run that morning because we just got back that night visiting my wife's father in Salt Lake. You know the story.

Anyway, I wasn't going to run that morning because I was tired, but I changed my mind and did. I used to drive myself crazy why I made the decision to run. Then I finally realized you can't see the future... you can't see the unexpected happening. But what you can do is allow God to give you peace and ask him to help you learn from situations. Once I started thinking that all I wanted to do was prove I could run again.

God Bless you and I'll pray for your body.

I certainly do remember those times for you Kory and I'm mightily impressed with how you've pulled through.

I'll be OK. Just indulging in a little self pity. I don't think it will last long.

I also realize how nauseating I must sound to someone who would give anything to run a 3:12 marathon.

So sorry to hear your foot still hurts! NICE cross training there! You are an incredible athlete, amazing husband and father!

Hang in there! You'll triumph over this and come back stronger and better!
