Brisk two mile walk this morning. Decided to count it as one mile of easy running.

This was just to keep from getting fat as I reduce my miles the rest of the week. Easyish gym workout this afternoon.

PM: One mile easy, weights/core workout. Lifted a little harder than I had planned. No more of that silliness before Boston.

Shouldn't you be airborne by now?

I've been thinking about amputating my pinky fingers and earlobes to shed a little extra weight before Boston in addition to my normal haircut. They don't really do you any good in a marathon - just along for the ride.

Don't need both kindeys or the appendix either do you?

I know, you should get some of those cool lightweight toe shoe thingies - ya, thats the ticket.

Good luck, guys - I'll be "watching"

I'm going to jog around in one of those aluminum foil suits that wrestlers use to cut weight the rest of the week. What could go wrong?!? :-)

I just looked it up. A kidney weighs .25% of your total body weight.

Not sure I could recover from the removal of a kidney by next monday though.

Renato Canova says it takes 8 days to recover from a lost kidney, so you are inside that window now.

I have been practicing with my Smith and Wesson and am a fairly decent shot. I volunteer for digit removal. A kidney or appendix may be a bit more of a challenge but I'm willing to give it a shot...

keep pumping iron - you never know when one of the kenyans is going to try and mess with you, or you get in a bar fight w/ some drunk red sox fans... i'm sticking with my pushup routine for a few more days :-)
