18.5 miles on the treadmill.

I wanted to do 20 miles with 2 x 5 miles in 30 minutes. I should know better than to try and do two hard workouts in three days. After 2 miles at 6 minute pace I bailed on that workout and just did a longish run. It takes me three or four days to recover from something like the 6 x 1 mile workout I did on Wednesday.

Taking Ann to the airport now to visit her college buddy in Portland. So I'm a single parent this weekend.

PM: 2 easy miles plus some weights.

Not to mention it was a morning workout for you - At least for me, I have a tough time getting up to speed early in the day. Another thing to add to the list of stuff that age affects - in addition to recovery time. Good job in making the adjustment.

(Steve Foster would have "bagged" that workout.)

Good work getting the long run in and smart listening to the body and not going to the well with another hard workout.

Good run, on a TM no less.

Have fun with the kids this weekend, I was the single parent last weekend so I know what you will be going through.

Jeff - I think I'm going to nap a lot and just let the kids tear up the house, play computer games, and watch cartoons.
