I was tired and have a track meet all day but I decided to drag myself out of bed and get 50 miles for the week, and I am glad that I did! I went out early and ran up 50 N. in AF into PG. That road turns into a nasty hill that climbs all the way up to the top of PG and Grove Creek canyon. I ran up to the parking lot for the trails up the canyon and then ran home. Like I said, I was tired from a rough week and from trying to get a few miles in the last couple of days but I pushed on. I felt a sense of accomplishment making a decent week out of nothing and ending with a run that was good and hard. I will have to check out some of those trails up Grove Creek too.  This was my first 50 mile week since I got sick around Presidents day!  1:16:41 for the run.

Nice work James and dedication to push through the run. I glad you were able to get a good 50 mile week end and feel healthy. Your on your way to some great training now.

Thanks Kory!

I am starting to feel good again, and if I can make the time around Track to get some miles in I will be back in business pretty soon.

Isn't it beastly trying to get that mileage in during the season. I hate it. Glad to see you are feeling a bit better - and thanks for the comments.

Dave,

Yes! Cross Country is much easier for me to get some miles eventhough it can be tough too.

Hey, we all have tough times, and you and I should both give ourselves a big pat on the back. Me for running Del Sol, and you for taking a dive at Salt Lake. I think we will both end up with a good year in the end.

What happened at the end of SLC that you keep talking about?

From James on Mon, Apr 21, 2008 at 15:54:45

Dave went down at the finish line!

Fainted? Did he cross the line first?

Yeah, check out his blog.
