Personal:

I used to run for BYU, but only after trying out three times and finally walking on, so I was never a star. However, it was wonderful to run with great people and under Coach Shane. When you run with fast people, you can't help to improve! I graduated BYU in 1998, and didn't run a race until 2002, after having my second child. My hiatus and other crazy life commitments have made my competitive running suffer, but the last couple of years I have tried to get back into it the best I can. I have been married since 1996, to Paul Lowry, who is a runner himself. I have three boys (my three rascals), ages 12, 10, and 8.

After a great 2008 season, I was injured and eventually diagnosed and cross-diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, a type of arthritis disease, which precludes running for all but the most stubborn.  So I am on medications, trying to stay healthy, and seeing my PT often.  And running!  Now beating the streets in Hong Kong.

Started the day with some Edward and Jacob.  The best early breakfast you might imagine :D  Marion and I went with two of her daughters and one of their teenage friends.  We went to a mexican restaurant.  I had about 5 chips and salsa, chorizo con huevos, skip the refried beans and rice.  And a diet pepsi.

Ok, so the movie was not great, but better than the first one.  The best part of this Twilight experience was rereading book no 1 & 2 and I WON'T READ #3 UNTIL AFTER TAX SEASON.   I'm just saying. . .

So, anyway, delirious from lack of sleep.

Walked 2.25 miles and stretched while my bourbon chocolate pecan pie baked this morning.  Then went out and ran 7 miles and finished with some walking to make 10 miles total.

Tomorrow is another day!

LOL I love your banner! I'm Edward all the way, , , but I'm wondering if New Moon will change my mind a bit to Jacob, , , ,!

Way to be strong in the mexican restaurant, , , I think I would have had about, uh, 30 chips, and bring on the refried beans and rice. You're awesome :)

GREAT new blog title. You were VERY good at the restaurant :) I can't resist the beans and rice, which is why I had the CRAPPY chicken salad that has no beans and rice on the plate. I mean, seriously, I almost knocked you off your chair to get your rice before Kate saved my and ate it ;D

It's going to be 47 degrees at 1pm. Wanna go on an adventure??? You can ride my bike :) I need some vit D.
