Personal:

I used to run for BYU, but only after trying out three times and finally walking on, so I was never a star. However, it was wonderful to run with great people and under Coach Shane. When you run with fast people, you can't help to improve! I graduated BYU in 1998, and didn't run a race until 2002, after having my second child. My hiatus and other crazy life commitments have made my competitive running suffer, but the last couple of years I have tried to get back into it the best I can. I have been married since 1996, to Paul Lowry, who is a runner himself. I have three boys (my three rascals), ages 12, 10, and 8.

After a great 2008 season, I was injured and eventually diagnosed and cross-diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, a type of arthritis disease, which precludes running for all but the most stubborn.  So I am on medications, trying to stay healthy, and seeing my PT often.  And running!  Now beating the streets in Hong Kong.

15 min pool jogging, screamed for joy like an idiot when I saw Marion and David come into the pool area, then chewed her ear off for some time.  We talked for 10 minutes and fit in an hour of conversation, if you can imagine the two of us together, talking that fast and furious has got to count for some cross training.  Then walked 3.37.  I can't remember the time.

I can just imagine the scene. I'm glad you had someone to share your workout with.

I always laugh at the rest of the swimmers cause they are so "quite". It was SO fun to see you there in the water. I farted around for a whole hour. It was GREAT! I wish you could have come and swam some laps :) What are your plans next week? Swimming is great for joint mobility :) The only problem is that we can't TALK the whole time :)

Are you company free yet? How's it going? Barb just left this morning :(

What day do you want to go to Salem Pond with the boys? :D

Love it!! You are both so fun to talk to I can only imagine the conversation! FUN TIMES!!! It's so nice to see what you are doing and to hear the exciting tone in your "typing". Keep it up Michelle. I can't wait to run with you soon!
