Running Accomplishments:

Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.

Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

Went for a run this morning after the night shift.  Haven't done that a lot, so I didn't know what to expect.  I was pretty tired, but after I changed and went out into the cool morning air felt pretty good.  My husband and I took off on a new road and then continued down a canal bank.  We ended up coming to a fence that we had to climb.  Before that everthing felt great!  Afterward I think lack of sleep caught up and I got pretty tired.  My legs wanted to run but no energy!

Ran this morning with my husband again after getting off from work. I felt tired most of the way. Wait a minute I am tired, time for bed! I have always felt like my lungs give out before my legs but today they did for sure! Surely something to do with the time of day I am running that is making it worse.

today due to the hurricane force winds and rain, I took on my treadmill. I even think I did sortof won! I did 2 warm up miles and then on mile 3 I did some alternating hills, mile 4 I tried to do some speed work. That more distance than I've done on my treadmill in months. I won't say that I loved it but I did get it done.

Got up today and it was still pretty cold ousisde, but didn't think the wind was too bad so decided to go any way. Not to bad with a jacket, (it's about 40 F outside). The run was really pretty good. the first 2.4 were great then I headed into the hill section and straigth into the wind that started to really pick up. but all in all my pace was about 10:25. And I feel pretty good with that. I am ready for summer again! I'm sure I will not complain about the heat for at least....2 weeks if it soon warms up!

Today we finally made up for the winter spell we've been going through! The sun was out, the temp. was perfect, so I decided to do a long run. It felt really good too! I got a little tired around 5, and then at the end. I really don't think the end I was that tired but just running so randomly to get the miles in I got too close to home and mentally thought I was done. But probabley could have gone at least 8. I did have a little twinge of pain or something towards the end of my run but hopefully nothing to worry about.

Got up and did 4 miles today. I felt good through the first 1.5 and then by 2 I was feeling tired and it didn't go away really untill right before I got home. But I feel pretty good about the weeks total.
