Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Two miles on the treadmill.  Not my favorite, should go farther but get a little bored.

thought I would run down to the track to calibrate my nike-ipod that I finally got ( 1 mile to track). Ran one mile I had't done something right. Did another mile and had another technical error. Ran the third mile, succesful! Ran the mile home, which according to the nike-ipod was only .91 miles. My husband disagree's so I'm counting my mileage as 5 miles. I was only going to do one down do one there and then back so I got a couple of bonus miles and it felt great. Maybe it was the track, or the cool evening we were having but I am glad for the extra. Tomorrow better go back to the track and make sure that my ipod is calculating correctly.

Ran down to the track this morning, did one mile and then home. I'm still not sure if the ipod is calibrated just right probley go down tonight and give it one more try. From there I'll just accept what it says and assume if it's off at least it will be consistant. This morning felt a little tired but o.k. run.

according to my info I ran 3.3 miles today with a 10:03 pace. I don't know if thats good or bad. It didn't feel like one of my better runs but would loved to have seen a little better pace.

5.87 miles and 2 bugs! Yuck! I got up to do 4 miles this morning and when I was headed home on mile 3 decided to do five and then five almost became 6. Because I didn't have any kind of a course mapped out I ran past my house twice trying to get that last 6th mile in, I slipped in the driveway a little short. But still a pretty good run. I know my first mile was like 8:58, then after that I did't get the specifics. A technical thing I'm not sure if my ipod will do, but my average pace was 10:10 and the total time was 59:43. I sucked in a bug about two minutes into my run and I think he just stuck to the back of my throat the entire time. About on the fouth mile I caught a second one, and that one just kinda slipped down-gross! Sometimes I feel like tigger that just hops down the road, and never really goes anywhere, but now I've taken to catching bugs too......I also have started getting a blister on the inside of my arch. I think I'll try differet socks, but I'm wondering if you get blisters when you start needing new shoes? I think I'm about due.

Got up and ran early today. Thought I might be a little sore, but nothing really except for a blister on my foot.
