Running Accomplishments:

Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.

Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

Ran three miles? this morning early with my husband.  He's faster than I am but because I am in a little better shape I think he really had to work to make it look like he was just a few paces ahead of me.  But it also pushed me too, which is good.  I don't have anything to record my speed and distance right now, but should have that all in place later this week.  When I run alone I have set distances that I usually do but since my husband was along and I didn't do my usual route, I'm just  averaging my didstance and no time today either.   After following people on the blog the last couple of weeks, I finally have gotten the courage to give it a go.  I have been really inspired by so many of you and hope by keeping track of my own runs that I will be able to see improvement and progress,so here goes!

Got up to run today and it was overcast and a little cool. Wasn't much in the mood to get out there but after pushing through, I'm really glad I did. I did a four mile loop that I normally don't love but it felt really great and was one of my better runs in the last couple of weeks

Quick three today, (quick is a relative term). Anxiously awaiting the UPS man so I will really know my times.

Three miles this A.M. I felt like I was hyperventilating most of the run. But I don't think it had anything to do with the run, today is my oldest daughters graduation and there is so much to do today!

Got up and did a little run. My body felt a little like it was in quicksand, but got through it. I'm always surprised even when the running seems so slow and hard, when I get home and start to stretch I feel so good. It makes me feel more alert and less groggy through the day. So it makes it all worth it!
