My son did OK but not as well as we hoped. He got 11th so got a medal. He was the 2nd runner placing for his team so surprizingly they won the team championship and he got a trophy. So he qualified both individually and team wise for the Nationals. The down side was that he was well rested but had a so-so time (12:38) - he had run the course earlier in regular meet (12:02) - not sure why he was abit slower although his form didnt look great. It was still a good improvement - last year he was 19th. Now to Kansas for Nationals - December 8 in the midwest, hope we luck out weatherwise
I saw Alexander Barry in that place, so now I know the true identity of the Falcon. I am sure his form was off because he had put a lot of pressure on himself. It is hard for a lot of runners to relax in a big race, and especially hard when you are that young. Looks like he did good though, have fun in Kansas in three weeks.
