Timpanogas Peak

Not sure how to count this in running miles, Alex and I hiked to Timpanogas Peak, which is about 16 miles round trip, about 6000 feet elevation gain and summit I think is over 11,700 feet. Cant say I got my heartbeat up alot but I know Im exhuasted and more worn out than any race or practice run. For now Ill just say 6 miles of running. Any Utah runners who have hiked this mountain have any comparisons?

Michael, Those hikes are fun. I took our XC team to Lake Blanche a couple of week ago and boy were my hip flexors sore the next day. Many of the kids were sore and said a run would have been less work. It is good to mix it up. Life is to short to run the same place everyday or do the same thing day after day.
