The past two nights I have not been sleeping very well. I will get some new ear plugs and see if this helps. (I love my hubby but he snores something terrible).

Update on my knee: I went to the orthapedic surgen Monday and was told that the tear is not clear on the MRI. The little PA was telling me that it's an age degeneration thing. I personally wanted to kick him in the shins. When the surgen came in to talk with me he said that it very well could be a clear tear and until the did the scope he would not know for certain. He asked how important running is to me and I said "Very!!" He said the scope will be the best idea then. Lets pray it does the trick . I will be off running for 6 or so weeks after the surgery. So much for all the spring races I wanted to do :( They said that it's most likely genetics that is causing my kne issues. If/when I running again I think I will need to find someone to help evaluate my running so I can do it without as much pounding on my knees.

5 on the elliptacal, back bicepts and abs. My youngest daughter has been my gym companion the past few days. It's kinda fun to have her with me. She seems to want to go all the time so I will keep asking her as long as she wants.

Huge bummer. Sorry to hear about your knee. But look at it this way, you could come back stronger than ever. Crockett had knee surgery several years ago and was told he would never run again. Look at him now! I see ultras in your future.

Thanks Jun... I really hope so! My friend at work who runs ultras says the same thing. He had scope on both knees at different times. He keeps telling my I need to do more trails, that the road is bad for your knees.

Best wishes on your knee treatment! Your passion for the sport will get you back in no time. :)

Yeah, roads are brutal. I had it pounded back into me today that I just don't like running on the roads. It didn't help that I was wearing my Asics and I hate those shoes. I need to retire them. I think on Friday I'll take the extra time and drive up Millcreek to run the pipeline trail. So much softer on my body.

Dang. I was so looking forward to seeing you in Moab. But the important thing is to get you all healed up. I hope the scope does the trick for you.

Good luck with the knee issues. It's great you can still workout on the elliptical etc. Once the knees all taken care of you'll be ready for the phase of your running life!
