2x1000 on the track. Warmed up 1.5 miles, shin hurt really bad. Ran the first one - 4:00, felt good. Ran the third one - 3:50. Ran a mile cool down. Bummer my leg has to hurt on my fav workout. But i was really happy with the 2 i did. Weights/icing/stretching after.

Trail run on the fun Chuckwalla. Which is also my place for rock climbing:) Was going 3 but they turned us around late. My shin hurt like no other the whole time. I am really frustrated with it and am sick of being injured all the time :( i miss being able to run fast and being able to challenge myself to go even faster without having to hurt so much. Ah well, trying to stay strong!

Today I went to April Larson's house and she changed my whole outlook on running. She first rubbed this burning oil on my leg and massaged it for about 35 minutes. It hurt sooo bad!! My legs were really really tight and that had been causing alot of my pain. When she was done it felt way better. I am definitely going to be seeing her again sometime. She gave me much advice that i hadn't known, and that will help me with my injury. Apparently i do have shin splints but haven't been taking the proper care for it...

Afterwards i went to the running center and got 2 pairs of shoes! They are much better than the ones I had which i found out were just making my injury worse. Happy Day!

Had fun helping out with the Root Beer mile :)

Trail Run at Dino tracks! Lots of fun, I felt really good throughout the whole run and even helped lead the girls the whole way. Kinda sore after though.

harts warm up 2x1000 and a mile cool down. My shin really hurt during the warm up and the 2 1000's so i stopped there and ran 1 mile cool down on the track. Times were 4:13 and 4:07, not nearly as good as the last time i ran them. Weights after.

Sadly i can't join the team to run on Tuesdays... but when i got home i got in .75  miles before my lesson and then rollerbladed for an hour and did a mile of striders :)

5 miles with 10 minutes of LT tempo. I was happy with my run today, mostly because i was able to forget about my injury and focus on pacing myself throughout the 10 minutes. I was able to stay with Mescerem until she fell off and i paced myself off of Bryan :) Would've been nice to have a watch, thats for sure. I felt alot better than i have been, so it was a good positive run that i needed. Weights after were great!

Trail Run! (4 miles) It was nice, i was a little out of breath but my legs felt good! I kept up with the girls for most of the time. Only fell back on the really loose, thick sand part but then caught up again.

3 miles with everyone...really fast. And striders. I was super out of breath and tired today but my legs didn't hurt a bit! Now i need to work on being mentally ready for dogtown tomorrow!

Ran the 9k which was super fun! The only bad part was that we made a wrong turn and it ended up being about 5 miles :/ I didn't notice till the end of the race and was a little upset because i still had alot of saved energy for the last mile that i didn't get to use. Ended with a time just over 38 minutes. But i felt really good and won my first medal getting 2nd in my age division :) Very fun.

easy 3 and striders. My shin really hurt :/ But the decatholon started! 110 m. hurtles were today and were way fun- 21.95 seconds. and high jump on which i did bad :)

4 with 4 Fartleks. Dogpound run, it was great other than my shin hurt. Then we did 200 m: 33 and long jump: 12.2. Later I did an hour of intense yoga and lotsa rolling!

Kosmin test...not so good. I got 1202 meters. I wanted so badly to be up with the top girls but i just felt drained of energy and out of breath. Harts warm/cool, weights.

7x400's. Oh boy these are hard! I wanted to do as many as i could and did 7 out of 10. Times were :28, :28, :28, :27, :27, :26, :26. I was really happy with my times and how long I was able to stay with the top girls. It was really hard for me though. Definitely a push, but really good! Harts warm/cool.
