Personal:

Married to Elizabeth (she got me running in 2003). We have three boys, Lucas (12) , Sam (8) and Ollie (5).

Many years ago, I read that the AVERAGE male is capable of a 2:40 marathon.  I decided to test that theory.  I began running in 2003 with Top of Utah as my first marathon (4:24).  I need 3 more minutes.

Run in New Orleans down St. Charles street.  This was a very nice and safe route.  I began close to Canal Street and ran by Lafayette Square, Garden District and turned around at Audubon Park (close to Loyola University).  You can run on the Streetcar tracks (packed dirt).

How are you doing? Things for me are up and down. My knee is still giving me problems. I hope it will get better soon.

Hey Mark- are you doing the San Diego Rock n Roll in June? Dominique and I are getting serious about it, and we'll finalize plans for it this weekend.

From Mark on Wed, Mar 05, 2008 at 19:49:06

Chris, sorry to read about your knee issues. Its painful for me to read your updates. Maybe its best to spend the Spring recovering? I'm trying to get ready for Boston next month, but I've been doing a lot of traveling. I really dislike running on the treadmill. I have a 20-miler this Saturday, so I should be able to check my fitness level.

If I recover from Boston, I will run the Rock n Roll with you guys. You can always stay at my house regardless. Also, I got us Red Sox tickets for Sunday (April 20). It's a 1:30 game. The ticket is $45.

Good luck at boston. I love that race. Thats cool that you are going to a Sox game. Next time I run boston I think thats what i will do.

I have already dropped my race for March and don't have any thing planned yet. As much as I would like to race, your right I should spend the spring recovering.

From Craig on Thu, Mar 06, 2008 at 13:30:28

Chris- since you're still recovering and Ogden is only 10 weeks away, I'm going to plan on running the 1/2 Marathon race rather than the 2 person relay. The race is essentially the same- the relay would just allow one of us to do the upper half. If you feel good enough for the race in early May, join me at the 1/2 starting line.
