Long-Term Running Goals: Maintain my health and continuously seek to improve my fitness. Maybe someday get under 3:00 for marathon. More importantly, I'd like to figure out what my maximum ability is and reach that.
I'd also like to find the right balance in life and use running to enhance and improve myself.
Personal: Dad of three (welcome Charlotte Dani on 8/10/20) awesome kids and stepdad to three almost as awesome as my own kids.
I have a brown dog named Stella, and three cats - Catty, Tortie, and Esperanza.
(old lines that were a little out of date but couldn't quite bring myself to removing them completely:) Also, have one wonderful brown dog named Sammy and just added a grey tiger cat (Catty) whose life started out rough but now has a better home.
I've recently started another blog so I can easily add lots of pictures and so other non-FRB users can leave comments:
Forward Progress!
Also, for 2012 I started a blog to write down each day one thing that I am grateful for

Out and back run from Westlake Village over to the Pinellas trail and headed south for a bit before turning around.
This run took place during the great Garmin ransomware attack of 2020 resulting in runs not syncing to Strava for a while. Not that 2020 didn't already have enough going on. But despite all of that, at least there is Dani.

Out and back run from my house, down the new trail, past Lake Dan, almost to the end onto Keystone but not quite before turning back. Nice relaxing run overall.

Ran from Westlake Village, out onto Alderman and then cutting through Eniswood neighborhood (they have been subject to sign vandalism in the past), onto Alt 19 and then onto the Pinellas Trail heading north for a little bit. Quick stop at conservation park, and then south down the trail to the crossing a few blocks from Pennsylvania Ave, up 16th street past the Y and the little cemetary and then through the cut through back into Westlake. Kind of a loop I guess.

Took it a little bit easier today, some loops around Westlake Village, heart rate decent but didn't feel like I was slogging through it, mainly in the 10:30's but last mile 9:37

Friday Lake Dan trail run from my house. A little bit faster than yesterday and flatter.

Slowed it down even more. This was my "long run" consisting of some loops and up and down the street on Lakeview Dr. inside Westlake Village.
