Long-Term Running Goals: Maintain my health and continuously seek to improve my fitness. Maybe someday get under 3:00 for marathon. More importantly, I'd like to figure out what my maximum ability is and reach that.
I'd also like to find the right balance in life and use running to enhance and improve myself.
Personal: Dad of three (welcome Charlotte Dani on 8/10/20) awesome kids and stepdad to three almost as awesome as my own kids.
I have a brown dog named Stella, and three cats - Catty, Tortie, and Esperanza.
(old lines that were a little out of date but couldn't quite bring myself to removing them completely:) Also, have one wonderful brown dog named Sammy and just added a grey tiger cat (Catty) whose life started out rough but now has a better home.
I've recently started another blog so I can easily add lots of pictures and so other non-FRB users can leave comments:
Forward Progress!
Also, for 2012 I started a blog to write down each day one thing that I am grateful for

Out and back run on Starkey Blvd bike trail, out and back run north to past the bridge but not quite all the way to Alico Pass. Run felt pretty good, easy feeling although heart rate said otherwise. I'm just going to try this out for a little bit until I throw back in some lower heart rate runs where I will probably need to so some walking.

Did three loops in Westlake Village, but they were smaller loops from the house, left onto Pine Terrace until it became Village Way, back to Lakeview and by the house again. The shorter loop was kind of nice in a way.

Ran from my house over to the Lake Dan trail heading south, reached Keystone Rd and went far enough so I'd have at least 7 miles. There were a good number of people walking and riding their bikes, everyone keeping their distance for the most part.
Run was good, another cool morning. I forgot my heart rate monitor today, probably would have been in the mid to high 140's I'm guessing.
While I was driving to my house, Andy texted to see if I had any paper towels, so I gave him the extra roll I usually keep in the back of the car. On the way to work stopped at Walmart for some things. One roll of paper towels left (well, actually those blue shop towels, which I later read that they make good material for a temporary DIY mask according to an article (actually multiple articles on different sites about a boutique clothing place that was making these after testing various possible DIY materials).

Easy-ish run from Westlake Village, down through downtown Palm Harbor, onto the trail heading south, until about a mile south of Curlew and Alt19.
Trail was fairly crowded with people biking, hard to maintain distance when there was a lot of traffic in both directions. It stayed fairly cool for most of the run even though it was late in the morning when I started. More and more people were wearing some sort of mask today.
