I started running in May of 2006 while losing 85 lbs after my youngest was born.  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.  My oldest is in college and my baby is in pre-school. (Six kids in 5 schools ;)

Inaugural run in my new shoes.  They felt great :)  I love that they are finally NOT ORANGE!  I have SO many orange shoes :p

Nice warm stiff head wind for mile two.  All the parts felt good :)

They are black with some sparklie blue design stuff :) Boy shoes are never very cute :p (My feet are too big for girl shoes) I wear mens 10.5 double e. They are a bit spacious, but I never lose my toe nails :)

Do they smell like boys shoes?

You are getting speedy! A one minute improvement on your average over last year. That's amazing. But I love orange shoes--but size 12 orange shoes may be a bit over the top for spring. My sis has to wear men's shoes too. She loves living in DC because there is a whole section of town for cross-dressers. She says she can find great shoes that fit her now!

Luz- I am really excited about my half at the end of the month. Last year, my long runs before my best half were 1 to 2 minutes slower per mile on the average. I ran my 13 last week at the same time I ran my best half. :) Here's hoping all keeps going well :)

It's going to be your best yet. Half marathons are a great distance and you are putting your mind to the test trying to run it faster. You will surprize yourself. I'm sure of it. You can do hard things! Unfortunately, running a half marathon is the easiest of those things....:)

Congratulations on the new shoes. Orange, eh? I don't think I have any orange shoes.
