Running Accomplishments:

Started running in 2001.  Have completed over 100 marathons and ultras since then. 

Marathon PR 2:56:04 (2005 St. George)

New PR 2:53:24 (2008 Tucson)

Finished 2nd Overall in 2005 Utah Grand Slam to Paul Peterson.  He beat me by 30 min in every race.

1/2 Marathon PR 1:23:56 (2008 Just Cuz Half Marathon)

Completed the Utah Grand Slam 10 consecutive years (2003-2012).  I don't know if anyone else has done that.

Short-Term Running Goals:

2024 Goals:

Be consistent in my Riding.

Drop a few lbs.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I have long-term biking goals.  Running is completely out of the question with the Meniscus in my knee.

Personal:

I'm in the 60-64 Age Group.....Yikes!

I have been married for over 39 years.  We have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.

7:30am:  It was 13 degrees this morning with no wind.  I ran in to Kory after 3 miles and ran 3 with him.  It was nice to have someone to talk to for a while.  I ran 16.28 miles in an easy pace.

7:45am:  I had the day off and I work tomorrow so I decided to move my Tuesday longer run to today.  It was 15 degrees and light winds.  I ran 17.27 miles and took it pretty easy.

6:30am:  It was 15 degrees with no wind this morning.  I ran 12.23 miles in a pretty easy pace and ran 4 of them with Bob Fischer.

6:45am:  It was 18 degrees this morning.....a regular heat wave.  I ran 13.16 miles with 5 really good miles in the middle, felt good.

6:30am  I woke up to a fresh blanket of snow this morning.  The temperature was 30 degrees and it was snowing lightly.  I put on my traction shoes and had a good time.  I ran 12.38 miles and the traction wasn't too bad as the snow packed under each step.  It wasn't a fast run but it was a relaxing, fun time.

7:30am: It snowed wet and heavy this morning. Running in SLUSH was the order of the day. It was 32 degrees and snowing big fat flakes....I was very wet when I got home. I ran 18.42 miles in the best pace I could.
