Morning:  It was 8 degrees with a wind chill just below zero when I left this morning.  It warmed to a balmy 19 by the time I got home.  I ran 18.34 miles in a nice, comfortable pace.  It was actually a very enjoyable run and I was only planning 15 but I stretched it out at the end because I felt so good.  I am going to get over 100 this week so this is a good start :-)

Bill, just wondering what you wear to stay warm in at such temps. I start to rapidly lose heat after about 15 miles and my arms get really cold. I sweat like no other so getting wet only compounds the problem. Thanks for the advice.

Robert, I wear a pair of running tights with a pair of really light warm-ups over them. For my core I wear a light undershirt under a long-sleeve heavy shirt and then wear a wind-breaker over it. On my head I have a pull-over face mask type hat. I wear a pair of light gloves under a pair of nice mittens.

I too have arm issues at times because the sweat builds-up and then gets cold, especially at my elbows. I normally get home with a fair amount of ice on my neck and upper chest. I have had to stop and warm-up inside for a couple of minutes halfway through a run. I figure if it lets me finish comfortably it is worth the couple of minutes.

Do you wear windproof briefs?

Paul, Yes I do wear them. There is nothing worse than frostbite in the nether regions :)
