It was warm this morning.....61 when I left, 71 by the time I was done.  Not quite used to that yet.  I ran 13.21 miles, a bit quicker than yesterday and no hammy problems today.  The blister is hardening pretty good, just a bit soft around the edges.

It was too hot today and yesterday. I hate the extreme change.

Do you think the high mileage weeks hurt you in Ogden? Do you think it was running SLC so close to Ogden that hurt your PR chance? Or do you think you overtrained?

I'm just curious and trying to get some insight. You can always learn from someone else. I'm most likely going to run the Utah Valley Marathon as well.

Maybe we can run together in this race if I'm not feeling strong.

Kory, I think I need more speedwork. I hardly do any when the weather is bad.

Speedwork is hard to get motivated to do. I always have a hard time gearing up for it. What you could do is just run downhill fast on Satterfield Rd. all the way to the light by Perkins. Try to generate a high turn over rate on the legs.

Speedwork/Tempos sometimes are just hard to get motivated to do. If you want we should do some of it together. Barry and I are running the Pocatello Marathon Course Friday morning at 4:30 if your interested.

I don't have a goal for the Utah Valley Marathon I'm just going to run that's my strategy.
