Short-Term Running Goals:

I'm just getting back into running after a long break to have my last child.  I would like to race some 10Ks, a half, and a marathon in the next 2 years.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Be the oldest woman to complete a marathon.  Yea!  But hopefully I will also complete some BEFORE I geezer up, like, before I'm 40 for sure.  I think it would be fun to dress up really strange for marathons, like impersonating celebrities and stuff.  Except I don't really like celebrities, as a rule, so maybe I'll have to stick to the age old question of ninja, or pirate.  I say ninja. *Hyah!*

Personal:

I am happily married to James W (Cool Runnings). We have 3 boys and 1 opinionated little girl.  I love reading and I'm also a news junkie.  I am a stinker.

2 Miles with Christine this morning in the absolutely unbearable cold of like 40 degrees. We stopped earlier than planned because I had a cramp, and she was still feeling the effects of the Tylenol PM she took last night.

Don't try too hard Sasha! There is no shame in needing a little more time to learn a song. I promise I won't mock you if you don't do it.

I never got in the rest of my miles.  I am really having a hard time with the whole Christmas crunch.  Sounds like a breakfast cereal...

Nice run even with the issues. I had a stomach ache on my run this morning. I didn't mention it in my blog, but I wanted to stop and can the run. But I didn't and it seemed to work itself out. Don't feel pressured in your first HM. I haven't ran one myself yet but plan too. With your training and God backing you up you'll have a nice run.

Thanks for pushing Sasha...I told him I'm okay with him practicing all morning every once in awhile. It was truly triumphant when he got it....magic. You are awesome. So..I would totally love for your kids to come if it won't kill you to bring them and they can play with mine. I promise not to try and cook anything while I'm watching them and I'll be super sweet and patient and not call you in the middle of your marathon and tell you to come home. :)

So I'm feeling a little swing towards striders? I could probably swing that one. Does that mean that you get to come for both? (I hope!)

As for Painters even if I don't feel like I can do it, I'll totally come down and watch! Is that all there is that day just a half or is there a 5or 10K too?

So Lybi- are you really doing Painter's? The half? So I'm too lazy to look it up- what's Striders? I've heard of it, but not sure which race it is (I know, I know, I live in a cave) Michelle- yes- there's a 5k w/ the Painter's 1/2.

I'm definitely running the Painter's half AND the Striders half. My goal for Painters is just going to be completion, and I don't care if I have to run 11:00 min. miles to do it. Info on Striders is on the discussion board, Christi. Hope you can do it! Looks like Michelle and Mik'L are in.

And Christi, I can't do Hurricane because James is running a marathon in New Mexico that weekend.
