I have had a pretty awesome 24 hours.  I spent last night rubbing elbows with Robert Redford,  Blythe Danner, Melanie Lynskey, Christopher Abbot  (and many others) at the Premier Day One event of Sundance at the Screening of Hello, I Must Be Going (and the afterparty).  It was electric. So after being out until 3 a.m. I skipped work and spent my morning skiing the fresh little bitty bit of powder we got yesterday.  Turns out it wasn't all that bad.  Not bad at all.  The wet heavy snow stuck to the ice and made for some nicely packed powder. There was some nice little powder tucked away in a few corners and chutes.  My knee and ham didn't hurt at all--but man alive, I am OUT OF SHAPE.  I was breathing like a noob and my quads were literally shaking by the end. I'm getting a Precor ellpitical for home this weekend.  So maybe if the platlette therapy works I can get my cardio fitness back in order and I can be walk/jogging again by spring.  Today has been a good day.

Luz...where are you? The snow hasn't been that great for you to completely quit running :) Hope everything is going well !

Mac, yes, I have literally fallen off the face of the earth. I won't go into my litany of old people complaints, but suffice it to say I've had 3 MRI's and platelet rich plasma therapy injections and 4 CT scans of my liver and pancreas. I bought an elliptical and spend mindless hours watch Downton Abby and Mad Men between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m.; which doesn't really leave me a lot to blog about. But you're wrong about the snow. It snowed 10 or more inches on Jan 20, February 12 & 20th, and then again February 19th & 28th and March 1st. Skiing is all I have left right now and if you haven't guessed--I've been there every time we got pounded. That plus all the really sunny days. I hope to start walking (for exercise) again in 6 weeks. I miss running and my running friends. I didn't realize I didn't have "real" friends until I stopped running :(

Loving you from afar.
